Pros: Usual high quality planet gat, reliable, fast and aesthetically lovely
Cons: lightweight may be just a shade too light

I have always been a fan of Planet Eclipses markers when they have made custom models so I was keen to see what they would come up with for their first solo effort. The Ego is a lovely bit of kit to look at and play with. Essentially a Timmy with an eclipse electro frame it weighs virtually nothing and can shoot at a hell of a rate of fire (also now has ramping modes for millenium and PSP). The marker itself is well put together and the anodising up to Planets usual high standards. It shoots in a very similar way to most open bolt markers and is accurate (assuming the numpty on the trigger can point it straight). Cocker threaded barrels fit the Ego so there are plenty of options with regards to barrel systems. The only fault, and I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to come up with this, is that due to the weight of the marker (or lack thereof) it tends to rise up when the ramping kicks in. This takes a bit of getting used to but a timmy just doesn\\\'t do it.

I thought it would take a lot to pry my timmy from my fingers but I am now highly likely to be shooting an Ego next season as I have now used one at PA league and Millenium events.

In summary, Planet have come up with a beautiful gat that both looks and performs wonderfully - combine that with Planet\'s high standards and after sale service and you can\'t go far wrong.

Pros: If i can use it anybody can, Its just so simple to operate
Cons: non

The EGO, what can be said about this little marker. Well I think Ledz had a personal liaison with the devil one late evening whilst eating pies and drinking lots. As they discussed the future, Ledz cried and said I need something pure and sexy but deep inside its belly must stir pure evil. So off went the devil with his little group of workers and started to put together a marker that would tear the realm of paintball apart. The Ego was born. When you put this marker in your hand and lift it into your shoulder and your fingers touch the trigger you become possessed .The little E on the side of the marker I am sure is not for planet eclipse but for evil.

The marker is sexy and light its trigger is sleek and responsive once you awaken this beast not much will stand up in its path. Do yourself a favour either get out of its way or buy one now from Warren wood paintball speak to tim

Pros: Rapid, stable, excellent service
Cons: Just another knock open valve pneumatic

Nothing new in terms of technology but done just that little better and with a little more style. Rapid fire and stable velocity. Usual excellent planet quality and service.

Downside
No adjustable ram cap for adjusting the bolt position (cf Timmy).
Magnetic trigger feels NAAASTY

Conclusion
Anything that makes lurch look like a half decent baller must be good

Pros: Customability, Speed (this thing is FAST), Wieght, colour schemes, customer support
Cons: could do with a 2 piece shaft instead of a 1 piece

one word: Awesome
Where to begin? hmm, well i suppose the first thing to hit you is the way it looks and it looks cool. the anodising is thick and vibrant, but the milling has had some love put into it espeacially the end of the breech (towards rear of marker).

the first thing that hits you when you pick it up is the wieght, i mean its meant to weigh 1.2kg but its so well balanced it may aswell weigh 100g, you can see what i mean if you pick up a 1.1ltr bottle and an ego and compare the two.

after gassing up the bolt locks with a very satisfying pow, the trigger is easily adjustable and is super easy (for me) to walk, some people like magnetic triggers others dont. once you turn it on you notice this is different to most other high end markers with a very easy to read LCD display. even without reading the manual its easy to know what youre doing. this is a big improvement from the shitty and complicated LED displays of DM's and angels.

Firing the marker is super easy, turn on and pull the trigger lol, but the way it fires is amazing. most people will turn on ramping first, dont do that! the marker is capped at 15.4 bps on ramping and semi 2, however semi 1 (stock mode) is uncapped semi. fire it on semi the first time you fire it and see how fast it is, its dead easy to keep up aswell and you can hear it getting faster and faster, it loves it. i managed to get 18 bps consistanly afew times, ive never been able to do that with any other marker! and omg the air efficency is beyond amazing, i was firing a nexus one, turned the OOPS off and just couldnt run the marker down to save my life lol.

you will see many stock egos, but alot will also be custom. from just CCU kits and grips to total body conversions (mine is espeacially cool) there are so many "upgrades" and you really can have a uniqe marker with out being on a proteam

out of the box it flies (not literally ofcourse) and the only thing i would consider buying is a barrel kit, the shaft is ok but a bit unwieldly for me and i like 2 peice barrells
